ABSTRACT GUIDELINES AND SUBMISSIONS
We are now accepting abstracts for the 40th Lillian Fountain Smith Conference. Our goal is to highlight trainee efforts, disseminate the latest research in nutrition science, and foster collaboration and networking among professionals. Abstracts should cover unpublished data, but work recently presented at other scientific meetings is welcome. We invite submissions covering all areas relevant to nutrition science, from basic to clinical and population studies. All abstracts will be showcased in research poster or lightning presentation format. See below for information and guidelines:

All abstracts must be submitted by March 15, 2026.

Abstracts will be showcased during the Friday poster session. Posters should approximately 4’ x 3’, landscape view.

Lead authors of posters chosen for lightning talks (approximately 5) will receive $1,000 Notifications of award will be given by March 20th. Additionally, the top 3 posters not chosen for lightning talks will receive $500; winners will be announced during the conference.

Abstracts should be 250 words or less (excluding title and authors) and contain the following information: Background, Research Design, Results, Conclusion.
